I finally had time for a hurried bit of messing last night. I got one of those do-it-yourself calendars for Christmas, so meet Mr January.

I have never scrapbooked before; it's never really appealed to me but I found doing this curiously engrossing, even though it's very simple by most scrappers' standards. I will hopefully do more.

One thing that disappointed me was the quality of the prints from my printer (HP psc 1315) . I'm not used to actually printing out the pictures I take with the digital (there are hundreds stashed on the hard drive and on disc). These have come out very purpley, not like the actual picture on the screen at all. I think this will put me off scrapping more if I can't improve the quality in some way.

It might be worth playing with your images in Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop before you print as that's probably where you'll have most control over what you print.

Try looking in the menus for somewhere to alter the colours - PSP has a histogram function which you can tweak to get things more B&W. There's also a setting which simply changes a pic to B&W in opne click. I'm no expert, so can't give much advice, but it's certainly worth exploring the menus and simply having a play around with the settings. HTH
