This week's Daring Cardmaker's challenge was to make a card featuring felt. I made a couple using my mini sewing machine (£10! bargain!). The effect I was aiming for is "folksy", therefore the stitching is meant to be wonky, ahem.

I haven't used a sewing machine since 1983, when I attempted to attach a waistband to an electric-blue skirt in Mrs Davies' Home Economics class. It all ended rather badly, so all things considered I was reasonably pleased with these efforts.

Now you knew Home Economics classes would come in useful one day didn't you? Where ever did you get a sewing machine for £10 and is it a children's one or one of those you used to see in the inserts in newspapers?

They are really good cards and the first one looks so intricate. Brilliant.

Where's your craft class then, Stockport Hobbycraft? Sounds like Cheadle is a dangerous place to be - Crips and Bloods - never knew we northerners were so aggressive :-0.

Love your inchies and will go looking at your old blog (northerners are just plain nosey aren't we LOL).
