I got this through the post today. I read a review of it a couple of years ago and have been looking for it ever since.
I'm a bit disapointed to be honest. It's little more than a bunch of vintagey layouts with no real exploration of technique or how to's (I think I was hoping there would be some sort of mathemetical formula for effective collage). Still, it only cost me £4.99 from Diane's Crafty Supplies.
Big spending week this week. There was a very tempting scrapbook TSV on QVC on Monday. I had a bit of a disagreement with QVC earlier in the year which ended with me drawing myself to my full height and informing them I would never, NEVER be buying from them again. I am ashamed to say that faced with acres of chipboard, papers, ribbons and 4 (count 'em, 4!) scrapbook albums for under £30 I folded faster than Superman on laundry day and ordered it. Expect it will arrive with a post-it note on it - "Ha! We knew you'd cave!".
I'm also limbering up for a marathon spend on Saturday at the Happy Stampers festival at Port Sunlight. I went for the first time last October and it was heaven, a show dedicated primarily to rubber stamping. I spent £150 last time, can't afford anything like that this time. I'm thinking maybe £30, with a contingency fund of an extra £20, to hoover up any additional can't-afford-not-to-haves.
