I'm back from a dodgy fortnight in Devon. We were bunked up in the middle of nowhere for two weeks. Very pretty, but it was so isolated that by the second week we were seriously contemplating trips to local attractions "Barometer World" and "The Gnome Reserve". Actually I quite liked the leaflet for the Gnome Reserve. On one page there was a photo of a little boy with a speech bubble that said "I didn't want to come here but it's quite good really". They obviously know their market.
Nearly went mad through lack of crafting opportunities. Took to fiddling napkins into peculiar shapes whilst waiting for cream teas to arrive. We went to one place that had a craft shop but it was closed for half day closing. I pressed my nose up against the glass and frowned. They seemed to have an awful lot of bargains in there.
Still. Half day closing. I didn't realise anyone did that anymore.
