This entry looks at Christmas traditions. We don't have many of them, but one that has crept up on us is the school Nativity. This year it was mt 5 year old's first Nativity. He was an angel. He didn't have any lines and was supposed to stand still looking holy for most of it, but once he'd spotted us in the audience he persisted with doing these really theatrical winks at us - turning his head fully to the right opening his mouth and scrunching his eye up in an exaggerated fashion (the bottom picture, although it's rubbish, catches him doing it). He must have looked like he'd got a twitch or something. I asked him afterwards what he'd been doing and he answered "My showtime wink".
