Hmm. This stamping on canvas lark. Not as easy as it looks is it? I just about get away with this one as it's a Christmas decoration. But I'm disappointed with my first go at tissue to canvas. For a start it didn't work properly - the tissue dried white, so I painted over it with cheap acrylic paint, meaning to start again but found that the image still showed through (you see, sometimes it is worth paying a little less!!). The pink of the skirt isn't dense enough. and the gloss finish is naff, it really needs sealing in matte.

Still, live and learn, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger etc.

Talking of killing, we put the tree up yesterday and the kids went berserk. It happens every year. What should be a happy joyous family time, a warm memory for them to wrap themselves up in in years to come, invariably ends up with me snarling something about Christmas being cancelled if they don't get their freaking hands off the baubles and for the love of God JUST CALM DOWN!!
