I did this LO of me and my d/h. We have been together for 19 years and married for 10 and therefore are not quite as fresh-faced as we used to be. The words are from a song by The Beautiful South.
I think it's quite sweet but d/h peered at it and said "Oh thanks VERY much!", and stomped off in a huff. Way to kill a tender reflection on the ageing process, dear.
Heh heh. My crow's feet aren't nearly as bad as his. Although that may be because my eyes are so puffy the lines sort of get pushed out, like knocking out a dent on an old car door.
About ten years ago he looked much younger than me; we would be out together and friends would ask him how old he was and then marvel when he told them. Then they would turn and ask me the same thing and I would answer and there would be a short, uncomfortable pause and then they would comment on the weather or Eastenders or something. D/h used to find this quite hilarious and took to calling me 'Barbara Bush', after George Bush Snr's wife, who looked like she should be his mother. But now the tables are turned and I like to think I look like Anna Nicole Smith (in her rather chunkier days, granted) to his J. Howard Marshall.
